Striving to Increase Melanoma Awareness, Funding and Research
GTHM is organizing a fundraiser in which individuals running a race obtain pledges of support from their friends and family that will be used to support the Melanoma Research Foundation. Many individuals are running the November 7th City of Oaks marathon/half-marathon as their event but ANY event of ANY length is fantastic (See Runners tab for other local events). We want you to participate in an event.
In addition, there will be a post-event party/fundraiser in Durham on November 7th to thank runners, and celebrate recent victories, while providing an additional way to donate.
In 2008, Ted and approximately 30 friends and family ran the City of Oaks race and raised approximately $70,000. Our goal is to exceed this in 2010.
Ted and Stacy are both running this year and want you to join the team!
